Denamico is excited to welcome Account Executive, Dan Larson to the team! With a background in sales and strategy, Dan is ready to hit the ground running while drinking his morning coffee out of a pretty cool cup. ☕
Balancing family and work is always a challenge, but I really try to keep my promises of when I will be home and communicate clear expectations of how much/when I will need to work.
I like to be present when I get home. I lock in on what we are doing and what my wife is saying by putting down my phone. I also try to remind myself that worrying about things like work when you’re at home is like being in a rocking chair – it gives you something to do but doesn’t get you anywhere.
If I could switch for like a day, I might like to switch with our CEO, Brendon. I think it would be really interesting to do the podcast he is working on and interview people from all areas of business – it looks like he has fun doing it!
The thing I like most about Denamico is the great team. I know that sounds cliché but everyone is really great and we have an awesome mix of personalities here. The coffee maker is pretty top-notch, too.
My dream vacation would be to go to Japan, and I’m talking about feudal Japan. Although I would like to see the bigger cities, I really want to see the rich history of the samurai and the architecture there. A must-see would also be the beautiful wisteria/cherry trees.
The greatest challenge in my life thus far is losing my grandmother and mother within three years of each other. I was raised by these two amazing women and lost them when I was 18-21 years old. It has challenged me in many ways but has also made me stronger and taught me a lot.
One of my favorite restaurants is GIanni’s Steakhouse in Wayzata. I love a good steak and their spun salad is amazing. I don’t get there very often but when I do, I enjoy every minute!
Honestly, I’m not too bad at pottery. I can throw bowls, mugs, and other things on the wheel as well as hand-build a lot of cool things.
I actually collect pottery mugs from famous potters. Take a peek at what I’m drinking my coffee out of in the office and it is most likely a professionally done pottery mug!
