One of the best things about blogging as opposed to other top-of-funnel awareness-generating activities is that it's incredibly trackable. If you know what metrics to watch, it's easy to see how your blog is performing and whether your efforts are contributing to the bottom line.
What blogging metrics should you track?
- Number of visitors
- Click-through rates on your calls to action
- Leads (which posts generated the post leads?)
- Number of subscribers from each blog post
- Inbound links
- Social media shares
- Revenue generated
